Editorial Standards: How We Research and Review
Who writes our guides
Our buying guides and how-to articles are written by the Hardvance team, UK-based PC and technology specialists who stock, sell and support this kit every day. Selling and supporting hardware, and handling the questions, returns and warranty claims that come with it, gives us a practical, real-world view of what works, what lasts and where the genuine value sits.
How we research
Before we recommend anything, we cross-check the latest specifications against the manufacturer’s own information and against trusted independent reviews and testing. Where we cite figures or facts, we link to the source so you can check them yourself. We update our guides as products, prices and platforms change, and each guide shows when it was last reviewed.
Our honesty policy
Our advice is independent of whether it leads to a sale. We recommend what genuinely suits the buyer, which often means pointing to a cheaper option, suggesting you keep what you already own, or telling you to wait. If something is not worth the money, we say so.
What we do not do
We are a retailer, not a testing laboratory, and we never fabricate benchmark results or claim lab tests we have not done. Where we share real-world observations, they come from selling, building advice, supporting customers and processing returns, and we are clear about that.
Accuracy and corrections
We work hard to keep our content accurate and current. If you spot something that is out of date or wrong, please get in touch and we will review and correct it. You can learn more about Hardvance here.
