Samsung sorts its monitors into three named ranges, and knowing which is which shortens the decision considerably.
Odyssey is the gaming line. It runs from the G3 and G5 at Full HD and QHD up to the OLED G8 and G9 ultrawides, with refresh rates from 144Hz to 360Hz and the deeply curved 49in models that replace a two-screen setup.
ViewFinity is the professional range, built around resolution, colour and connectivity rather than speed — 4K and 5K panels, USB-C with power delivery, and models with a built-in KVM switch so one keyboard and mouse serve two machines.
Smart Monitor (M5, M7, M8, M9) runs Samsung’s Tizen apps on its own, so it works as a streaming screen without a PC connected at all.
The plain S-series numbers cover the everyday office panels below those three.
Samsung Monitors Buying Guide and FAQ
This Samsung Monitors range covers Samsung products. Below are the common questions.
Are Samsung monitors any good?
Samsung is a well-regarded name in monitors, with a range that spans budget to high-end. The best model depends on your needs and budget, so compare the key specs rather than choosing on the badge alone.
Which Samsung model should I choose?
Start with what you need from your monitors, then pick the Samsung model whose features and price fit. If you want help comparing, our monitors guide explains what to look for.
What should I check before buying?
Match the key specs to your setup and budget, check compatibility with your other parts or devices, and look at the warranty. The right Samsung product is the one that fits your needs, not just the most expensive.
