Anker SOLIX PS200 Bifacial — 200W of Dual-Sided Solar in a Foldable Frame
The Anker SOLIX PS200 Bifacial is a 200-watt portable solar panel that collects light on both faces. The front does the main work, and the rear picks up light bouncing off the ground, so on snow, sand or pale concrete Anker quotes up to 10% more power than a single-sided panel. It folds in half into a 68.5 × 79.2 cm slab, weighs 4.8 kg, and ships with the cables you need to connect it straight away.

What “Bifacial” Actually Gets You
A normal portable panel only uses its front face. The PS200 Bifacial has cells that also generate from the back, so any light reflected off the surface below it adds to the total. The gain depends on what the panel stands on: bright, reflective ground helps most, dark grass helps least. Anker’s own figure is up to 10% more power, and it is fair to read that as a best case rather than an everyday number.
N-Type Cells and 25%+ Efficiency
Anker uses N-type solar cells here and rates conversion efficiency at 25% or more. N-type cells lose less output as they heat up, which matters because a panel in full sun gets hot. Higher efficiency also means more watts from the same surface area, which is how Anker keeps a 200 W panel down to 137.7 cm long when unfolded.
Built for Outdoor Use
The panel sits in a reinforced aluminium frame and carries an IP68 dust and water rating. Anker still advises against leaving it in heavy rain or putting it under water, so treat IP68 as protection against splashes and wet ground, not as permission to submerge it. The black metal frame can get hot after long spells in the sun, so use gloves if you need to move or adjust it on a bright day.
Fixed 35° Stand
The stand holds the panel at 35°. Anker chose that angle because its calculations show it gives the best output between 10 AM and 5 PM across Europe, the US and Japan. The bracket allows a small amount of adjustment, but this is not a panel with a wide tilt range.

Before You Order — Quick Compatibility Check
- Check your power station’s solar input accepts a 48 V panel and can take at least 200 W.
- Check the connector: the supplied short lead ends in XT-60i, so confirm your power station has a matching input or that you have the right adapter.
- Measure your space: unfolded, the panel is 137.7 × 79.2 cm.
- Plan for direct sun: shading on part of the panel cuts output sharply.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is the PS200 Bifacial waterproof?
A: It is rated IP68, which protects it against splashes and wet ground. Anker advises avoiding heavy rain and never submerging it.
Q: Why doesn’t it always reach 200 W?
A: Solar output depends on sunlight strength, panel angle and shading, so real output is usually below the rated figure. You get closest in full, unobstructed sun.
Q: Why does it only have one angle?
A: Anker fixed the stand at 35° because it gives the best output across most of the day in Europe. The bracket allows slight adjustment if you need it.
Q: How do I clean it?
A: Brush off dust with a soft cloth, then wipe the surface with a damp cloth. Clear heavy dirt or debris promptly so it does not block the cells.
Our Verdict
The Anker SOLIX PS200 Bifacial suits anyone who wants a light, genuinely portable 200 W panel for camping, a campervan or home backup. The dual-sided cells give a small extra boost on reflective ground, and at 4.8 kg it is easy to carry and set up. If you need more than 200 W, you will need a larger panel or a second one.
