Key Technical Metrics

4K Clarity with H.265+ Efficiency

This camera captures video at 3840 x 2160 pixels. It supports H.265+ compression, which reduces bandwidth and storage requirements significantly compared to older standards. In practice, this means you can store longer recordings on a MicroSD card without sacrificing image detail. The 8 MP sensor provides sharp visuals for identifying objects and individuals at distance.

Reliable Outdoor Performance

The turret form factor is fully weatherproof with an IP67 rating. It operates in temperatures from -30°C to 60°C, making it suitable for the UK climate. The metal housing protects against dust and moisture. However, you should verify the specific installation location meets these environmental ranges.

Advanced Image Processing

True WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) balances bright and dark areas in high-contrast scenes. Smart IR adjusts infrared lighting to prevent glare at different distances. 3D DNR (Digital Noise Reduction) cleans up the image by analysing frames to reduce noise while keeping details sharp. These features work together to maintain clear visuals in challenging lighting.

Smart Detection and Audio

The camera includes built-in microphones and speakers for two-way audio. It supports video motion detection and can send push notifications for alerts. Human and vehicle classification helps filter events to reduce false alarms. You can search and filter recordings by specific attributes to find relevant footage faster.

Network and Security Features

This unit connects via a wired Ethernet LAN port (RJ-45) and supports IEEE 802.3af/at PoE. It does not support Wi-Fi. Security features include IP address filtering, HTTPS encryption, and password protection. The camera is cloud-managed via the INSIGHT platform for remote configuration.
