Built for Modern Graphics Cards
ATX 3.1 compliance means the PG-1000PSF is designed to ride through the short power spikes modern GPUs produce; ASRock rates it for a total power excursion of 235%. The 12V-2×6 cable has a temperature sensor at the graphics card end (TempGuard), and its connector is a contrasting colour so you can see when it is fully seated.
Quiet When It Can Be
The 92 mm fluid dynamic bearing fan is controlled by ASRock’s Auto iCOOL mode: it stays off at low and medium loads and only spins up as load or temperature rises. Cybenetics rates the unit LAMBDA A for noise.
Protection and Components
It has OCP, SCP, OVP, UVP, OTP and OPP protection, uses Japanese capacitors throughout and includes a 5V BOOST function that holds the +5V rail at about 5.15 V. ASRock quotes a 100,000-hour MTBF at 25 °C and backs it with a 10-year warranty.
