This category covers two unrelated kinds of antenna, so it is worth knowing which you need.
Directional Wi-Fi antennas — the TP-Link CPE range and similar — focus the signal into a narrow beam instead of spreading it in all directions. That is what makes a long-range outdoor link possible: connecting a garden office, a barn, a second building or a site cabin to the main network over hundreds of metres, where ordinary Wi-Fi would not reach at all. The dBi figure describes the gain; higher means longer range but a narrower beam, so both ends must be aimed at each other reasonably accurately, with line of sight.
These are typically used in pairs and often need PoE power at the mast. See also network bridges.
Indoor TV and DAB radio aerials are the domestic product: coaxial antennas for DVB-T2 television and DAB or FM radio, for a set with no rooftop aerial connection.
The two are not interchangeable and use different connectors.
