Gaming Bags

A gaming laptop is a different object from a business one, and an ordinary laptop bag frequently will not take it.

Three reasons. Gaming machines are thicker, so a slim compartment cut for a 15mm ultrabook will not close around a 25mm chassis. They are heavier, commonly 2.5 to 3.5kg, which needs proper shoulder padding and a supportive back panel rather than a thin sleeve. And their power bricks are large — a 240W charger is a substantial item in its own right, and a bag without a dedicated pocket for it means it rattles against the screen.

So what to look for: a generous laptop compartment matched to the machine’s actual thickness, a separate charger pocket, padded shoulder straps with a chest strap for anything over 3kg, and a suspended compartment that keeps the machine off the base when the bag is set down.

A backpack is the right format here regardless of distance — this much weight on one shoulder is a genuine cause of back and neck strain.
