Acer Keyboards
Acer’s keyboards accompany its own machines, and the range splits into two.
Chrome keyboards are laid out for ChromeOS rather than Windows. That is a real difference and worth knowing before buying: the top row carries browser and system keys — back, forward, refresh, full screen, brightness — instead of F1 to F12, there is a search key where Caps Lock usually sits, and there is no Windows key. On a Chromebook that layout is exactly right. On a Windows PC it will work but several keys will not do what the legends say.
Nitro is the gaming line, matching Acer’s Nitro laptops and monitors. The NKW120 is a tenkeyless mechanical board — each key has its own switch for a firmer, more consistent feel, and dropping the number pad frees several centimetres of desk for mouse movement, which is why competitive players prefer the format.
Check the layout named in each title; UK QWERTY places @, ” and # differently from US International.
