24 Inch Monitors

24in is the size that still works on a shallow desk, and it is the one size where 1080p is genuinely the right resolution rather than a compromise — the pixel density at 24in is close to what 1440p gives you at 27in.

The range is mostly 1080p IPS, with a group of 1920×1200 panels that add an extra inch of vertical space in a 16:10 shape. That extra height is worth more than it sounds for spreadsheets and code. A few 1440p panels sit at this size for people who want the desktop space without the desk footprint.

Refresh rates are no longer a gaming-only feature here: most of these are 100Hz or 120Hz rather than 60Hz, which makes ordinary scrolling and window dragging visibly smoother. Just over half adjust for height.
