RTX 3050
The GeForce RTX 3050 is a previous-generation entry card built for 1080p gaming at medium to high settings in most titles, with DLSS available to help.
Where it still makes sense: a budget build, a low-power machine, or upgrading an older PC where the existing power supply is modest. These cards draw comparatively little, and the low-profile (LP) models fit slim and small-form-factor cases that cannot take a full-height card at all — a genuinely useful option, since few current cards come in that format.
One thing to check: the RTX 3050 exists in 6GB and 8GB versions, and they are not the same card. The 6GB model has fewer cores and a narrower memory bus as well as less memory, so it is meaningfully slower. Read the specification rather than the name.
If you are building fresh and the case and power supply allow it, a current-generation card at a similar price will generally offer better performance and newer features.
Check card length and slot height against your case before ordering.
