TP-Link S285 Outdoor 4K IP Security Camera

TP-Link InSight S285 | 8MP Full-Colour Outdoor Dome Camera

The TP-Link InSight S285 Dome IP security camera delivers 4K resolution and 24/7 colour night vision for demanding outdoor surveillance. Built for UK weather with IP67 and IK10 ratings, it offers smart detection, two-way audio, and PoE or DC power options in a vandal-resistant metal dome.

Key Specs

24/7 Full-Colour Monitoring in Any Light

The S285’s advanced colour night vision uses IR and white LEDs to capture vivid detail even in complete darkness. Unlike traditional IR-only cameras that switch to monochrome, this model maintains full colour 24/7, making it easier to identify people, vehicles, and objects in low-light conditions.

Smart Detection That Knows the Difference

Built-in AI analytics distinguish between humans and vehicles, reducing false alarms from animals or weather. The camera can detect line crossing, intrusion, and region entrance/exit, with push notifications sent directly to your smartphone when suspicious activity occurs.

True WDR for Challenging Lighting

High-contrast scenes like entrances with bright sunlight or areas with deep shadows can wash out details on standard cameras. The S285’s True WDR technology blends multiple exposures to ensure both bright and dark areas remain properly exposed, delivering balanced, natural-looking footage in environments with challenging lighting.

Flexible Installation with Ceiling Mounting

The vandal-resistant metal dome design mounts flush to ceilings, ideal for retail spaces, warehouses, or building entrances. With a tilt range of 0-75° and 110° horizontal viewing angle, you can position the camera to cover wide areas without blind spots. The IP67 rating means it withstands rain, dust, and temperature extremes from -30°C to 60°C.

Two-Way Audio and Local Storage

Communicate through the built-in microphone and speaker for visitor management or incident response. The camera supports MicroSD cards up to 512GB for local recording, providing redundancy alongside network storage options.
